    Welcome to Mount Calvary! I've been the Lead Pastor since May 2013. Growing up in Earlville, IL, I studied history and political science at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and theology at Wartburg Theological Seminary. Before Mount Calvary, I served at Atonement Lutheran Church in New Brighton, MN, and worked in various ministry roles.

    Outside of church, I stay busy raising three teenagers with my spouse, Stacey. Our family enjoys school events, traveling, and exploring new places, especially the Rocky Mountains and northern lakes. In my free time, I love being outdoors, listening to music, and photography. I look forward to getting to know you better in our faithful community!

    I started at Mount Calvary in February 2019. Originally from Southern California, I moved to Minnesota in 2008 for seminary (don't worry, I own a parka now). I earned my BA at California Lutheran University and my MDiv with an emphasis in Children, Youth, and Family at Luther Seminary. Before Mount Calvary, I was a pastor in Hastings, MN, and a suburb of Milwaukee, WI.

    My husband Jesse and I met at Luther Seminary and have been married since 2012. We have two joyful children and a golden lab. Jesse is a camp director, so we've spent a lot of time at Lutheran camps. I enjoy family time, cooking, walking, being outdoors, and random adventures around the cities. I'm excited to meet you!

    Having grown up surrounded by the love of the Mount Calvary community, I am so excited to be stepping into the role of Intern Director of Music and Worship. I started worshipping at Mount Calvary with my family around the age of 10, was confirmed in this congregation, and have been continually uplifted by the rich tradition of music in this church throughout my life. I graduated with a degree in Music and Biology from St. Olaf College where I studied the cello and voice, participated in orchestra, choir, and learned lots as a collaborative pianist! I strongly believe in the power of music to help us grieve, celebrate, meditate, and connect us to each other. I look forward to carrying on the tradition of music at Mount Calvary and being in community with you all!

    As the Director of Administration at Mount Calvary, I am the main point of contact for communications, events, and facilities. With a background in nonprofit and church offices, I bring my experience in marketing, communications, and organizational support to help make everything run smoothly. I hold a degree in marketing and international business, along with a minor in Spanish, from Bethel University, and I’ve been part of the Mount Calvary crew since February 2020. If you want to spread the word about an event or group, please send an email my way!

    When I'm not working, I’m likely planning my next adventure, hiking with my dog, or spending time with friends and family.

Council & Ministry Teams

Council

Mount Calvary is overseen by a church council elected by the congregation. The council has general oversight of the life and work of the congregation and assists the pastors, committees, and task-forces in planning and coordinating the spiritual and administrative work of the church.
