Women's Retreat

Who: Women of Mount Calvary and friends are welcome
Minimum participants: 8. If the minimum is not met, you will be notified as soon as possible.

Saturday, February 28 at 10 am through Sunday, March 1 at 10 am. (Content will wrap up in time for 9:30 am worship if you’d like to attend. You’re also welcome to enjoy a slower morning.) You may come and go as needed.

This retreat is all about gathering and building community. We’ll spend time together playing, laughing, resting, and sharing thoughtful conversation. There’s no pressure to do everything—join what gives you life and rest when you need it.

What is Easter?
Easter Sunday celebrates the resurrection of Jesus! It’s the heart of our faith—a joyful reminder that life and love triumph over death. We proclaim: Christ is risen! Alleluia!
Grad Sunday!
Join us as we celebrate our graduating seniors with a special blessing, presentation, and blanket ceremony. Our seniors will also share their gifts through music during worship, followed by cake and fellowship afterward.
2026 High School Summer Trip: Sioux Falls, SD
Dates:
Monday, June 15–Friday, June 19
Who Can Attend:
Students who have completed grades 8–12
Friends are welcome to join us.
What We’ll Be Doing:
This summer, our high school group will travel to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for a week of service, connection, and fun. We’ll be partnering with Service Learning Camps, who will organize thoughtful, meaningful service opportunities for our group.
Similar to last year’s trip, we’ll have a healthy mix of:
Hands-on service work
Group activities and fun experiences
Downtime to rest and spend time together
The goal is to build relationships, grow in awareness, and experience faith through serving alongside one another.
Adult Leaders:
Pastor Kelli and Brian, along with 1–2 additional adult leaders
Cost:
Cost is TBD, with the goal of keeping it under $600.
All meals will be covered, except possibly meals during travel. One of the largest expenses is renting 12-passenger vans. If you have connections that could help reduce this cost, we’d love to hear from you.
Scholarships:
Full and partial scholarships are available as needed.
Group Size:
Minimum: 8 students (required to move forward with the trip)
Maximum: 26 students
Pre-Trip Retreat:
Before we leave, we’ll gather for a partial-day retreat to prepare for the trip, set expectations, and spend time building community. The date will be shared once scheduled.
Flexibility:
This trip is designed to be flexible. If a student is unable to attend the full week, they may sign up for the days they are able to join. Transportation to and from Sioux Falls for partial attendance will be the family’s responsibility.

After February 28, families are responsible for their share of the trip cost, even if plans change. Refunds will be issued when possible, but once planning is underway, some costs cannot be recovered.

Family VBS
Mark your calendars for a fun week of faith and community for all ages. Each evening starts with supper at 5pm in the Fellowship Hall, followed by worship and activities for all ages on the lawn. VBS is free; dinners by David and Karen are available for a small fee.

This gathering brings together 1,500–3,000 women from across the ELCA for four days of worship, inspiring speakers, workshops, service projects, fellowship, and more.

Youth Summer Camp Fundraiser
This summer, more than 35 children, youth, and adults from Mount Calvary will attend Luther Crest Bible Camp, and our summer camp fundraisers help make that experience possible.
On Sundays and Wednesdays, look for campers in the Front Entry selling greeting card packs. Each pack includes 20 custom-designed cards featuring original artwork created by Mount Calvary campers. Cards are perfect for birthdays, thank-you notes, and everyday encouragement.
Cost: $25 per pack
How funds are used: Proceeds are shared among all campers to help offset camp costs.
Thank you for supporting our youth as they grow in faith, friendships, and leadership.

Annual Finance Meeting
All members are invited to join us immediately following the 9:30am worship service Sun, Jan. 25 for our Annual Meeting. This gathering is an opportunity to recap the previous year and review our upcoming budget.
To help you come prepared, we will share information in advance and hold a Budget Meeting on Sunday, January 18, also immediately following the 9:30am worship service. This meeting is your chance to ask questions, discuss details, and gain a deeper understanding of the proposed budget for the upcoming year.

Brewed Theology
Looking for a place to ask big questions and have real conversations? Join us for Brewed Theology, a monthly gathering where faith and life meet over a pint.
We’ll meet on the third Tuesday of each month from 5:30–6:30pm at Bald Man Brewing in Eagan. Each month, we’ll dive into a new topic from the Brewed Theology series - everything from faith and artificial intelligence, to prayer, to how our beliefs shape the way we live in the world.

Blue Christmas
Blue Christmas is a worship service created for anyone who finds this season difficult. Together, one of the longest nights of the year, we hold space for grief, healing, and God’s steady presence. Even if your own year feels bright, your presence can be a gift to others in our church who need encouragement.

Looking for a place to ask big questions and have real conversations? Join us for Brewed Theology, a monthly gathering where faith and life meet over a pint.
We’ll meet on the third Tuesday of each month from 5:30–6:30pm at Bald Man Brewing in Eagan. Each month, we’ll dive into a new topic from the Brewed Theology series - everything from faith and artificial intelligence, to prayer, to how our beliefs shape the way we live in the world.

Christmas Hymn Sing & Gingerbread Nativities
Join us in the Fellowship Hall for an evening of Christmas carols, gingerbread nativity building, and holiday fun for all ages.
Lessons & Carols: Still & Joyful
Experience the beauty of Christmas with scripture, carols, and music performed by our choirs and bell ensembles. This cherished tradition (40 years now!) blends readings with traditional hymns to tell the story of Christ’s birth. A light reception with cookies and warm drinks will follow in the Gathering Area.
Veteran Village Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Join the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of Veteran Village!
You are invited to join MACV, Housing First Minnesota Foundation, Lennar, Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, and our valued partners as we celebrate the grand opening of Veteran Village in Eagan—Minnesota’s first multi-unit housing complex designed to support Veterans and their families served by MACV.
Parking is limited, so we encourage attendees to carpool when possible. The celebration will be held outdoors, and we recommend dressing appropriately for the weather.
The morning will include a live performance of the National Anthem, remarks from project leaders, an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the grand opening, and guided tours of select units. Guests will also have time to connect with fellow donors, partners, and supporters who helped bring this project to life.
